This Morning I Went for a Walk by Sausal Creek 2010.01.03

Magic Brushes App on my iThing.
10-15 minutes.
From imagination.

Sometimes, at the creek in the early morning, I can almost imagine that the world is young and all its creatures in harmony.

Hi Eva!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog.
This piece was made by drawing with my finger on my iPod Touch. The Touch is like an iPhone, but without the phone (and therefore without the expensive monthly contract).
There are many different Apps (programs) for drawing and painting on iPhones and iPod Touches (which I refer to collectively as iThings). This was done using a program called Magic Brushes, which allows you to make your own brushes by sampling from any image. Once you make the brush, you can adjust different characteristics, such as size, angle of the brush and spacing. So, this was all done with one green, triangular shaped brush, with different sizes for the person and the bird.
The majority of my work on this blog for the last 6+ months has been made by drawing with my finger on my iThing, and I generally list which apps I use. If you get an opportunity to draw this way sometime, I recommend starting with Brushes or Layers, which are more traditional programs that come with a set of brushes and a color picker.
I also took a peek at your blog - looks like you're off to a good start with CED - keep having fun with it!
