My Inner Librarian was Frazzled

'My Inner Librarian was Frazzled' pen and watercolor self-portrait drawn with her eyes closed and using both hands similtaneously by San Francisco Bay Area artist Julia Kay, and in which her hair is pushed up and her glasses are askew. (Click to view same image larger.) I was frazzled because although Rawlston has been better about his music, he doesn't seem to have the general idea: don't make so much noise partying at 3 AM that you wake your neighbors. And last night he was at it again. *sigh*. We'll keep trying to work with him...

What, the music is down but tons of loud voices moooshed together?

Shrieking girls, slamming car doors, etc., at 2:45 AM. Voices not mooshed but individual. Sometimes whole lines of dialog come through - something I really needed to hear about sliding naked down splintery bannisters, for instance (that was earlier in the evening, though - the pattern seems to be party at home, party somewhere else (bar presumably), come home and party some more at home - everyone really stonkered (and loud) by then.)

Basically, his position seems to be he can do whatever he wants, no matter the effect on anyone, until someone calls, and then, oh, well, he'll stop (maybe). But of course by then it's too late - sleep is lost, nerves are frazzled and health plummets.

The temptation is to call him every night and remind him not to wake us up... but I don't want that task on my agenda either.
