Directly from photos of Michel Guerin, Andrew Mirzoian, and Gaugin’s Man Smoking a Pipe.

Please check out Michel Guerin’s wonderfully colored paintings of subjects ranging from the figure to the landscape, and Andrew Mirzoian’s boldly drawn and painted portraits and domestic scenes.

More details to come, way past my bedtime again!

Say, that’s not my face! My Daily Portrait Project ended and I’m on to a more varied daily art practice. March-April 2010, I intend draw a different artist every day.

Today’s artist, NC Mallory, is not only an artist, but also an art historian, teacher, and active member of the flickr artists community, welcoming new artists and generously commenting on posted images.

Since long before I hosted this Portrait Party, Norman has been drawing and painting artists, famous, infamous, and un-famous alike, and letting everyone know about their work.

You can check out his fabulous portraits and other artwork on his photostream:
www.flickr.com/photos/augustusswift/ where today a portrait of Rembrandt sits happily between portraits of flickr artists Sedona Nan and Greg Durrett.

If you’re an artist who’d like to draw/paint other flickr artists, please join the Portrait Party at: www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/
