Today’s piece is a series of studies of our youngest Portrait Party member, Polish Artist Dokkan. Dokkan makes good use of his extensive natural talent in drawing immediately recognizable portraits with an exploratory line that defines volumes and textures while revealing his subjects’ expressions.

I had a hard time depicting Dokkan’s young face, and these attempts vary from too young to too old, too thin, to too fat. I hope to get closer next time.

You can see Dokkan’s artwork on his flickr imagestream: www.flickr.com/photos/49490738@N05/
