August 2010: I intend to continue to profile contemporary artists once or twice a week. On the other days, I intend to draw… whatever I darn well feel like!

Today’s portrait is of Spanish artist Luis Peso. He makes incredibly detailed paintings on his iPhone and iPad of subjects ranging from portraits to sci-fi/fantasy to cathedrals, all with a strong sense of light. In addition to painting, he’s an active member of the Mobile Digital Art community on flickr, who’s generous about sharing information and encouraging other artists.

And, it’s his birthday – ¡Feliz cumpleaños, Luis!

You can see Luis’ artwork on his flickr imagestream: www.flickr.com/photos/35052681@N05/

We’re having a Portrait Party on flickr – more than 300 artists drawing each other! If you’re an artist who’d like to draw/paint other flickr artists, please join the Portrait Party at: www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/
