June 2010: I intend to continue to profile contemporary artists once or twice a week. On the other days, I intend to draw… whatever I darn well feel like!

Today’s artist is American Cooper Renner, known as r3nn3r on flickr. I was first drawn to Cooper’s work for his large body of interestingly composed self-portraits, but he has compelling work in a variety of subjects ranging from mythic illustrations to mundane vehicles.

You can see Cooper’s artwork on his flickr imagestream: www.flickr.com/photos/r3nn3r/

And website: www.cooprenner.com/

Photos of Cooper and other artists’ portraits of him can be seen here: www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/discuss/7215762360773…

We’re having a Portrait Party on flickr – almost 300 artists drawing each other! If you’re an artist who’d like to draw/paint other flickr artists, please join the Portrait Party at: www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/
