March-April 2010, I intend to draw a different contemporary artist every day.

Today’s portrait is of Dutch artist Razor, and one of his happy companions. Razor is a portraitist who works primarily in pen. In his energetic style of drawing, a seeming chaos of scribbled lines criss-cross the page, following the contours of the face he is drawing. Highlights are achieved with fewer lines and dark areas, often including deepset eyes, are achieved by the repeated motion of the pen across the same area of the page, it’s trajectory just slightly different each time.
