May 2010: I intend to continue to profile contemporary artists once or twice a week. On the other days, I intend to draw… whatever I darn well feel like!

Or sometimes whatever feels like being drawn – I’m not always sure I have anything to do with it!

I like that this actually sort of looks like a ‘traditional’ finger painting…

From where I’m sitting in my studio I can see a small, tightly sealing, ribbed plastic container with a green top that did hold finger paint back in the back in the back in the day of my childhood. Now it sits on a shelf holding some kind of small hardware widgets.

I have some tin film canisters here somewhere, too… we remember film, don’t we?

Today I was just fooling around and waiting to see who would show up…. it turned out to be this happy couple.
